Gaming meets pop culture.

A concrete and glass tower rising out of the historic landmark Mining Exchange Building in downtown San Francisco is Twitch’s new HQ. Led by IwamotoScott and Brereton Architects, the design approach was informed by reinterpreting the characters, patterns and spaces of early video games. A gamers paradise, the built and work environments occupying eight floors reflect the company’s own “lively, unique and unpredictable” global community experience.

Insider Insights
Each floor has a unique theme reflected in both interior architecture and furniture and each elevator lobby features a different linework mural that interprets classic video gaming scenes. Twitch’s culinary program, an important cultural cornerstone, was manifested in hospitality areas. The gaming lounge features a rope screen installation designed by an independent artist.
