Working closely with the San Francisco Green Business Program and a dedicated team of Insiders, our San Francisco showroom now meets the highest verifiable standards for sustainability in California. In addition to meeting the city’s green business requirements, our showroom is powered by 100% renewable electricity from wind and solar.
The California Green Business Network (CAGBN) is an organization that works to strengthen the state’s green economy by helping businesses implement sustainable practices. Certification by the CAGBN signifies that a business meets rigorous standards for environmental responsibility.
From office supplies, water and power usage, waste and recycling, to pollution prevention and continually tracking our carbon footprint, we spent several months ensuring compliance with all certification requirements. This comprehensive approach underscores our commitment to sustainability in every aspect of our operations.
San Francisco businesses made a significant environmental impact in 2023, saving over 1 million gallons of water and reducing greenhouse gas emissions by nearly 264,000 pounds. This reduction equals the carbon dioxide absorbed by about 140 acres of U.S. forests in a year. We look forward to contributing to the city’s goal of 100% renewable energy by 2030.
To celebrate this milestone, we attended the Green Business Awards on April 30th, held at the California Academy of the Arts. This year’s ceremony certified 147 businesses, making it one of the largest number of businesses to join the Program since its inception over 20 years ago. It was inspiring to connect with businesses of all kinds and honor our shared commitment to environmental stewardship.
