The Peer Company

Overview
501(c)(3) nonprofit The Peer Company (formerly Mental Health and Addiction Assoc. of OR) breaks barriers in mental health and addiction recovery by providing peer services, training, and support at no cost to their community. Insidesource was tasked to help design their new space, aiming to embody their philosophy through intentional, trauma-informed design.
What makes MHAAO's facility unique is their peer-run philosophy: every space serves everyone equally. This approach influenced every design decision, ensuring each environment prioritizes comfort, wellness, and accessibility. The result: an intuitive space where people can focus on healing and connection, rather than navigating barriers.
